At the age of 19, I was introduced to the world of personal growth, mindfulness, wellness, and inner peace. I was completely captivated by it! I became a certified yoga instructor, attended Vipassana retreats in silence, and embraced self-discovery in profound ways. I traveled, explored, and felt a sense of freedom and joy like never before.
Not long after, my path led me to hairstyling—a profession I grew to love deeply. With over 10 years of experience, I built a successful career and had the honor of working with incredible clients. I’ve always said how lucky I felt to have a job that brought me so much joy. As they say, “Love your work, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” For the first few years, that was my reality—I was full of energy, happiness, and passion.
But life has its way of testing us. Over time, as I tried to combine my career, relationships, family and all the chaos and uncertainty the world has faced over the past few years, I began to feel my balance slipping away. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to find my way back to the harmony I once felt.
The stress began to take its toll on my health. I experienced hair loss and seborrhea on my scalp, which, as a hairstylist, was particularly heartbreaking. Working with so many wonderful women who faced similar struggles made me realize how deeply connected our lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, and overall wellness are to the health of our hair.
For years, I struggled to return to the mindful, spiritual life I once embraced. I knew I needed to prioritize my health and inner peace above all else. So at age 30, my husband and I made the bold decision to move to Thailand, seeking a fresh start and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
Over the past 10 years, both as a woman and a hairstylist, I’ve learned that true beauty starts from within. Our well-being is reflected in our hair.
